Frequently Asked Questions
Who is Adulting for Teens for?
Our main clients are teenagers aged 14-19 who are looking for practical, factual skills and knowledge for building a values-based, fulfilling life. We also offer coaching for teens and parents.
Do you offer sliding scale or discounts?
We reserve a limited number of spots for need-based discounts. We also offer $50 referral fees for completed registrations that list you as the referrer.
Do you offer refunds?
We will refund tuition up to one full week before the start of classes. It is nonrefundable after that. Individual coaching sessions must be canceled at least 24 hours before they are scheduled. Late cancellations are non-refundable.
Do you support neurodivergent learners?
Yes! We have experience with 504 accommodations and ADA accommodations for college. We utilize Universal Design for Learning principles to ensure that students have the opportunity to adjust tasks, receive alternative activities, or take time out to recalibrate. We use a mix of media, discussion, activity, and quiet writing and reflection to ensure engagement and reduce over- and under-stimulation.
Are you a religious organisation?
No, we teach from a secular, science-based perspective, but we are inclusive of all lived experiences, including spirituality and culture. We may explore comparative religion, but we do not focus on or prioritize religion in our exploration of ethics.
Are you LGBTQIA inclusive?
Yes! We honor all identities, names, and pronouns requested by students. We have scientific expertise in the psychology and biology of gender, sex, and sexuality, and can answer age-appropriate questions as needed. While we do not offer a Gender & Sexuality course at this time, we are available for individual coaching and education on these topics.
Are your Intensives in person or online?
Currently, we offer only in-person intensives, but we offer online coaching and consulting. We plan to offer online intensives in the future.
